Four useful steps
A clearer path from the first call.
Share the vehicle details
Start with the year, make, model and condition. Say whether it starts, rolls and steers. Include missing parts, keys and anything you are uncertain about.
Discuss the assessment
Ask whether the vehicle fits JJ’s buying scope, what information is still needed and whether charges apply. Clarify what could lead to a revised amount.
Resolve access and authority
Describe the pickup location and who can authorize access. Raise ownership, finance or insurance questions before relying on a booking.
Confirm the arrangements
If you proceed, agree the location, availability, payment terms and transaction records. Keep copies of what has been agreed.
Before collection
A short preparation list.
- Check the cabin and storage spaces for belongings.
- Remove personal documents and garage remotes.
- Review stored personal data if the vehicle systems work.
- Tell JJ if keys or access arrangements change.
- Keep your agreed transaction records.
Do not arrange vehicle delivery to our office without discussing it first. Give the car’s current location so the right questions can be considered.

For a standard BC sale, consult ICBC’s selling steps for registration, transfer documentation, plates and broker processing. Ask an Autoplan broker about missing documents or exceptional situations.
An assessment or collection does not by itself establish completed registration transfer or authority to sell. Raise unresolved questions early.
